TRISTESSE ERASMUS

Mission

The Selfcare Philosophy is a philosophical counseling practice that seeks to provide an additional or complimentary mental health service. This practice is determined to help bridge the large gap that exists between the number of mental health providers and the far greater number of people seeking mental health services. Through guided counseling, clients will receive various benefits such as a deeper understanding of self and the world, greater control over how experiences impact us, reduced stress and anxiety, increased happiness, and much more.

Vision

The Selfcare Philosophy focuses on how to apply philosophical concepts and practices, such as introspection and critical thinking, to every day issues and problems. These are skills that can be learned and formed into habit which foresees great improvements in our experiences, lives, happiness, and mental health. This allows clients to analyze and evaluate these occurrences more deeply and from more than one perspective. Ultimately, the goal of this practice is to help clients achieve greater happiness and contentment in their lives.
